The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is one of the worst-kept secrets in the gaming industry, and the hardcore fans are eager to dive into the world of Cryodiil to experience a timeless classic. However, a remaster is nothing compared to a new and original story like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Both titles are launching fairly closely, and the gaming community is here to support both projects.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Will Not Distract Fans From Other Games

The gaming community has been hearing rumors and whispers about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered being a possibility until Bethesda Game Studios came out swinging by officially revealing the project. The original version was released in 2006 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, and fans have fond memories of their time in Cryodiil.
While this remaster will use nostalgia as the main driving force and the flashy new graphics will attract younger players, some fans are interested in newer titles.
Nothing has changed for me… even with the shadow drop of Oblivion Remastered and the stellar reviews of The Hundred Line.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is still the new game I want to play the most this week. pic.twitter.com/iKvtkpLVC8
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be released in a few days, and the shadow drop of this remaster, paired with all the DLCs, may deter players from trying something new and return to something familiar. However, some fans are committed to trying this ambitious game from Sandfall Interactive on day one.
Yeah Clair Obscur has been my on my list of most anticipated games this year, so Oblivion will have to wait. Glad we have the remaster though.

The difference between these franchises is that one has already had a few years’ head start, while the other is starting to find its footing. Others were worried that the remaster would cast a large shadow over this new project, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Has Nothing to Worry About

Game developers are racing against time and fellow developers to release new titles for the world to see. Players suspect that Bethesda Game Studios conveniently announced this remaster and released it immediately, days before this new project, to take all the hype and funnel it for themselves. It may seem like that from the outside, but there will always be players who can support both.
Oblivion is 100% eating into their exposure. I wonder if it'll go like BoTW did to Horizon, but there's no billionaire company behind it.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is starting to look like the underdog in this situation, but some fans are willing to see this game through. While it is exciting to see The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered see the light of day and be playable on modern consoles, players should give new IPs a fair shot.
