James Gunn has brought in more colors with him to paint a vibrant picture of DC stories, and the new Superman sneak peek is just one recent example of his. But that vibrant trailer can ring a bell for a name that lives rent-free in comic book lovers’ hearts: Alex Ross. If you look closely, you’ll find a different energy, something that’s hair-raising, something that Alex Ross made us feel.
Alex has been a part of Marvel and DC throughout the years, from Spider-Man to Superman; his artwork speaks to the fans. He is a legend not because we say it, but his work, which has landed him a barrage of Eisner and Harvey awards, speaks for itself. Although he isn’t a part of James Gunn’s universe, fans will be able to see a resemblance to his art style in the new footage.

And in case you want to get a sneak peek of his life as to how he came to be such a legendary artist, he shared this post on his Twitter (now X) recently to tell the fans that wonderful things take time to develop. And that everything has its first.

Although you might have seen his work here and there, some of his notable works include the very title James Gunn is clearly taking inspiration from in Kingdom Come, as well as Fantastic Four: Full Circle, Batman: War on Crime, and more.
What Wonders the New Superman Footage Brings Us?

Like it was in the first trailer of the upcoming James Gunn film, Krypto again was a force to be reckoned with. We finally saw him dragging Superman after somebody had beaten him to the pulp. But not before playing a little bit with his best friend. Although that playful little dog can be adorable, his playful nature can easily send anyone to a hospital. If Clark Kent was there lying with 9 broken bones in his body, we are pretty sure Krypto made it 10.
Then we finally get to see it, the crystal-like Fortress of Solitude emerging beneath the ground. That’s the best scene in the entire footage. In addition to that, there are four Superbots ready to assist the hero, who carry him to use the power of the sun for healing. We are telling you that this Superman scene will give some serious Alex Ross vibes.
