Monster Hunter Wilds has finally arrived, and it is full of fun and interesting gameplay that will have even the biggest Monster Hunter fans playing for hours on end. With a very long story, plenty of monsters to hunt, and all kinds of special achievements to acquire, there is plenty of content to enjoy, but this begs the question: how long does it take to beat Monster Hunter Wilds and earn all of its achievements?
How Long Does it Take to Beat Monster Hunter Wilds?
When it comes to Monster Hunter Wilds, there is plenty of hours worth of content for the player to enjoy. With a story that spans numerous chapters that can easily take 40+ hours, or the numerous side quests and additional hunts the player can take on, there is plenty to keep the player busy.
In terms of the main story, there may only be 6 chapters for the player to complete, but there is plenty of filler content between these chapters, especially once the player progresses so far within the game as the player will then be tasked with ranking up their Hunter Rank before taking on the next story quest.
Monster Hunter Wilds | |
---|---|
Main Story | 35-40 Hours |
Main + Extras | 50-60 Hours |
All Achievements | 75-100 Hours |
This could easily add or subtract time to the overall completion time of the main story of Monster Hunter Wilds, but generally it seems that 40 hours is the average completion time for the story of Monster Hunter Wilds.
In the past, Monster Hunter games have been an arduous undertaking for players who are looking to collect every achievement, and Monster Hunter Wilds is no exception. Due to specific achievements that require specific enemies to spawn, this could mean the difference between hours or even days, as there is no guarantee these achievements can be acquired promptly.

However, it should be noted that with a game like Monster Hunter Wilds, it is very difficult to determine a specific range of time for completion as each hunt can span anywhere between 5 minutes long and even 50 minutes long depending on the player, the amount of attempts it takes to complete, and many other factors.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released on February 28th, 2025, and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
