There’s never been a better time to be a Soulslike gamer than right now, with what feels like a new entry into the genre releasing every month. Now, we have a release date for The Relic: First Guardian, a Soulslike that attempts to do things a little differently. See below for full details and a new trailer!
Per Perp Games:
– Over 70 tough bosses known as brutals stand in the way of freedom for the region of Arsiltus. With five weapon types to choose from and 12 exclusive skill trees, each Guardian can blend abilities to form an entirely unique class and playstyle of their own
– Your stamina is reserved for defence and dodging, allowing you to strategically hack, slash, and slice your way through enemies without it contributing to energy depletion. With skills operating on cooldowns rather than resource consumption, this balance creates a seamless combat flow, allowing each player to adapt to their own playstyle and rhythm
– Character growth in The Relic comes from collecting memories known as Relics. Each imbued with unique passive effects, they reshape skill behaviour, alter tempo and enhance weapon styles
Define your own destiny when The Relic: First Guardian arrives on PlayStation 5 and PC this July 31st. Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series are arriving later this year, and a PS5 physical version will drop on September 4th.
