We Don’t Want The Last of Us Part 3 If It Means Missing Out on This Adaptation

The Last of Us Part 3 is likely years away, which buys creative fans enough time to make something worthwhile to make the wait a little easier, such as fan art and figurines. While Sony Interactive Entertainment has collaborated with LEGO in the past, we’ve yet to see anything of the more adult and R-rated franchises in the popular building pastime. Fans have remedied that.

Creative Fans Should Continue the Tradition for The Last of Us Part 3

While Sony Interactive Entertainment and The LEGO Group have collaborated in the past, some franchises are deemed too mature for the general audience. Horizon and other franchises are considered family-friendly; unfortunately, The Last of Us is way outside the ballpark for tackling themes of hate, cannibalism, and other inhumane acts of violence.

This did not stop hardcore fans from creating custom LEGO figures based on fan-favorite characters like Joel Miller and Ellie Williams though. While these figurines are not perfect nor one-for-one recreations of the original character models, this is as close as fans can get since the chances of getting an officially licensed figure are zero.

With custom LEGO always being a big deal, whilst we may not have an official set, we can hope that the fan base can fill in the void for The Last of Us Part 3 by creating custom figures of Ellie’s new look, other new characters, Infected variants, and Abby. There are also plenty of big sets they could recreate, and with enough interest, perhaps we’ll get something official by the time The Last of Us Part 3 arrives.
