Is Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2? Bethesda Haven’t Finished Yet

Bethesda has proven itself to be quite adept at surprises in recent times. With The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered now in the hands of a very excited community of fans, one could be forgiven for thinking that the American studio is resting on its laurels. However, that may not be the case if recent rumors are taken into account.

Reports of a version of the highly popular Elder Scrolls title for the newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 being in the works have thrown fans for a loop, creating even more buzz around a title that could easily be considered legendary in gaming circles.

Oblivion Remastered Might Just Follow You Around Everywhere

A tweet on X (formerly Twitter) from a popular rumor mill makes it appear that Bethesda is hard at work optimizing the title for Nintendo’s highly anticipated successor to the original Switch.

As you might expect, Nintendo fans are delighted at the chance to play one of modern gaming’s classics on their brand new portable console. However, there are concerns about whether the Switch 2 can handle Oblivion Remastered’s revamped graphics and visuals, which stem from reports about graphical issues on its console and PC counterparts.

Additionally, there are concerns about the game’s file size on the Switch 2, considering its limited physical storage.

While there are no reports of a physical version of Oblivion Remastered for the Switch 2, Nintendo fans would hope that the Japanese giant is able to ease concerns about its handling of physical games on its latest console.

While Oblivion Remastered would certainly be a very welcome addition to the Switch 2’s library, Bethesda is sure to be working hard to ensure that the game performs as well as it does on other consoles if it decides to give the title a new degree of portability. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the game in action while we’re on the go.
