MindsEye to Get Day One Patch as Physical Copies Leak Early With Brutal Responses

Last Updated on Jun 9, 2025 @ 11:11:36 AM.

MindsEye isn’t off to a great start, with a leak recently denting the new IPs already rocky reputation with early . As a response to this, it looks like the game’s official Twitter (formerly X) handle uploaded a letter asking people not to share any footage prior to its release. It is scheduled for release on June 10, 2025, for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, whom Alex Hernandez is portraying, a soldier suffering from memory loss, a part of this neural implant, which is the titular MindsEye. It will be set up in a fictional city called Redrock. On top of that, it’s a linear, narrative-driven game, something that is being faded amid the fog of multiplayer games and microtransactions.

The Leak isn’t the Only Issue Associated with MindsEye

Recently, two executives left Build A Rocket Boy: chief legal officer Riley Graebner and chief financial officer Paul Bland. While these positions don’t really go with the creative side of things for the game, it has raised eyebrows after Mark Gerhard, co-CEO of the studio, made allegations that some people are trying to trash the game using negative comments.

With the resignations and development issues, the day one patch could already be the most important patch of MindsEye‘s history, and it brings back memories of the rocky and rushed launch of Cyberpunk 2077. While that was given time and ended up as one of the best open-world games of recent years, it’s difficult to see that same path happening for the smaller studio this time round.

We can only hope that whatever is happening, the leaks and the alleged trashing of the game don’t affect it until it finally arrives on the market. Players of the game need to judge the game when it officially arrives on its day one and not before that, with the eventual patch hopefully fixing a lot of the early (very early) pre-release complaints.
