The ending to the town of Edens is finally here within The Relic: First Guardian. After beating bosses like Druger, Protector of Edens, and Mortum, the Twisted One, you will be searching for the final boss of the area, which is Dix, the Fallen Heir, and his monstrous form.
When it comes to finding Dix, there are a lot of steps involved, so if you haven’t found him yet or have managed to get to his location and he is not there, we recommend checking out our how to find guide below.
Boss Fight Tip: Before fighting Dix, the Fallen heir it is recommended that you stock up on items that remove the cursed status as this boss fight applies it very often. These items can be purchased from vendors throughout the game.
How to Find Dix, the Fallen Heir in The Relic: First Guardian
In order to find Dix, you will have to look back towards the beginning sections of the game, as back when you first enter the open world of The Relic: First Guardian, you will eventually enter a location known as the Refugee Camp, in which civilians are holed up in order to survive.
Once you arrive here, you will be able to acquire the beginnings of a rather long quest called “To Survive” from the guard at said Refugee Camp. After you talk to the guard, he will request that you head to a looter camp in order to free a group of refugees from the looters there, which is your first official step.
In order to do this step, you will have to head to the camp that the boss, Cleaver, is at, and you will have to defeat him in order to free the refugees from his captivity. After doing this, you will return to the camp and talk to the guard, and he will then send you over to the chief of the village, who will have a new job for you.
The job for the chief is the task that eventually leads you to find Dix, the Fallen Heir, as he sends you to the town of Edens so that you can find the chief’s son’s diary. This is the event step that sets you out to find Dix, the Fallen Heir, and will allow you to trigger the boss fight once you arrive at his door within the town.
Now that you are at the right spot in terms of the event to find Dix, you will now need to know how to actually find him within the town of Edens. Luckily, unlike the likes of Druger and Mortum, the entire path to Dix is a linear path with maybe 1-2 houses to explore for loot.
The only divide in the path that you will need to know is towards the end of this path; you will eventually come across a fork in the road with a path going to the right, which leads you out of Edens, and the path to the left, which leads you to Dix. For obvious reasons, the path to the left is your go-to here.

How to Beat Dix, the Fallen Heir
Now that you are at the door and Dix, the Fallen Heir, is behind it, you are able to take on this monstrous boss and complete the town of Edens. Once you enter this door, Dix will be waiting for you within the field, ready to pounce on any unsuspecting player who enters his arena.
The second you get closer to Dix, he will begin the fight as many do in The Relic: First Guardian by leaping towards the player and doing a slam down with his arm before continuing his combo with a slash of the same arm, his left arm, in an attempt to catch you by surprise.
Once the fight begins properly, there aren’t many combos that will feel overly threatening from Dix, as his monstrous werewolf-like form is quite misleading, as many of his combos and attacks are very slow and short, meaning that it is quite easy to parry or dodge the attacks if you time it right.
UPCOMING BOSS:
- Village Chief, The Spear-Bearing End
However, the reason there aren’t as many combos or attacks as a normal boss is simply that Dix is able to inflict the cursed status effect on the player, limiting their healing, similar to The Wingless Woman from earlier in the game.
The way that Dix is able to apply this status effect is simply by attacking the player with normal attacks, slowly building it up before it is applied, or there is a more dangerous version in which the boss begins an unblockable charge-up attack that, when complete, will cause a blast around the boss that, if it connects with the player, instantly causes the curse effect and deals a lot of damage to them.
Other than this, Dix is still able to deal a large amount of damage with his basic attacks even if they are small combos with only 2-3 attacks per combo. As you manage to learn Dix’s attacks and how to parry them, you will easily be able to break his poise and deal a decent amount of damage to him, but there are risks as he moves very fast around the arena.
Once you are able to time the parries right and deal with the cursed status, you will have all the tools you need to defeat Dix, the Fallen Heir, and claim his rewards, which are:
- The Relic – Sinister Strike
- His Lore
Before heading into Act Two of The Relic: First Guardian, there is one more challenge awaiting you as you finish the event “To Survive” which takes you back to the refugee camp towards the beginning of the game.
