Oblivion Remastered Gives Streamer Blurbs an Excuse to Bring Back Some Xbox Nostalgia: “You deserve Kai Cenat level of viewers”

Nostalgia is one of the reasons behind The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered’s success, especially because players who experienced the original version can dive back into Cryodiil and replay their fondest childhood memories. This remaster allowed the developers to give this project the treatment it deserved and introduce it to a new generation of players.

While the remaster took advantage of the extra horsepower from current gaming consoles, one dedicated content creator took their viewers on a trip down memory lane by recreating the dashboard of a classic console.

The original version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was released nearly two decades ago, and the gaming community spent years exploring every square inch of the map to accomplish various side activities. These memories are forever seared into fans’ minds back then, and a content creator called Blurbs decided to press harder on the nostalgia train by recreating the Xbox 360 blades dashboard.

Blurbs worked day and night to recreate this dashboard and went the extra mile by linking it to Twitch to receive messages in real-time, but with the Xbox 360 theme. If you played the original in 2006, this would be the perfect way to get into the remaster for the modern Xbox.

This project sends players back when they can even send inappropriate messages to fellow players, add DLCs in the marketplace, and even hear the fans spinning as a disc is inserted in the console for an accurate experience.

Some viewers believed he deserved more praise and recognition for his hard work and dedication. Blurbs worked on this throwback project to honor this entry of The Elder Scrolls series, which speaks volumes about its lasting impact. It proves this gaming era was a cut above the rest, and nostalgia can do wonders for classic games.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
