Rockstar Games recently gave the fans a new update for its online version of Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online. The new update is called Strange Tales of the West, and it comes with four new Telegram Missions, one of which includes robots that look like they’re straight out of The Wizard of Oz. It is a part of the Strange Tales of Modern Science. The other Telegram Missions in this update include Strange Tales of the Plague, Strange Tales of the Bayou, and Strange Tales of the Wilderness.

The official Rockstar Games’ announcement reads:

Author Theodore Levin can’t believe the rumors and missives he’s been receiving from the four corners of the American frontier. He’s working on an anthology of these unexplained and weird phenomena and he needs your help investigating the wildest claims that cross his desk.

Strange Tales of Plague will bring zombies into the game, and the players will need to go full kill and capture mode. Then there’s Strange Tales of Modern Science, which will be more about artificial intelligence, which is becoming a living nightmare for intelligent beings. The remaining two, Strange Tales of Bayou and Strange Tales of Wilderness, will bring a monster and a missing scientist into the equation, respectively.

Red Dead Redemption Fans Aren’t Really Impressed by the Zombies Part

It looks like one of the four stories didn’t really impress the Red Dead Redemption 2 fans. Instead, they were furious and even sarcastic on social media platforms. One of the users on X (formerly Twitter) said the developers brought this update to Telegrams, which fans hate.

This update comes after three years and responses like these aren’t a good sign for the DLC. However, there are still three more stories, so let’s see how they strike the fans when they play them.
