The will they, won’t they fight of it all finally has an answer, as you come to the end of Marvel’s Wolverine. Sabretooth, back from losing his arm earlier in the game to Logan, and corrupted by the Helix Engine and Nathaniel Essex’s whispers in his ears, is out for blood. Logan’s blood, to be exact.
If you’re here, you’re likely struggling with the boss fight, but don’t worry; by the end of this guide, we’ll have you figuring out exactly what you’re missing in how to beat Sabretooth in Marvel’s Wolverine.
How to Beat Sabretooth in Marvel’s Wolverine
Just like those boss fights before him, Sabretooth will be fought over two stages. Unlike those fights before him, though, he can heal, which can make this fight particularly tricky if you’re not prepared.

When the fight opens, prepare for Sabretooth to come at you without letting up. His aggression and pent-up resentment of Logan is a powerful fuel, and the fight really does a great job of showcasing exactly what he’s held back all these years. Unlike Deathstrike, Sabretooth starts out and continues on with just his claws as his main weapons. That and whatever environmental item he can get his hands on.
You’ll want to focus on causing Stagger to Sabretooth, as this will interrupt his healing factor. You’ll know he’s healing because he’ll have a similar animation to Logan’s own healing Special Ability. If you see it, make sure you’re using pounce attacks and Special Abilities that cause Stagger. Thankfully, as he attacks with his claws so often, you’ll also be able to parry and build up his Stagger meter with that. When it’s full, make sure to do a Barrage attack, which will fully interrupt his healing ability. Take too long, and you’ll see his health bar fill up, which is far from ideal.
During this first phase, he’ll throw food carts at you, as well as unblockable red attacks that you’ll need to dodge; don’t try to parry those. Once you get his health down to half, you’ll be in for one of the game’s most brutal moments, followed by a truly unique gameplay mechanic, which I won’t spoil here.

The second phase begins shortly after the cutscene, and now Sabretooth is slightly different in his approach. His use of environmental items and unblockable attacks are still present, but he’ll heal more often (so be prepared to stagger), and he’ll also grab you, slamming your head into the floor repeatedly.
The way to beat this second phase is similar to the first, and if I’m being honest, it’s a little easier too, at least it feels like it. His health drops quickly, and now you’re in a flow with interrupting his healing factor; it won’t get far before you stop it.
A few tips to ensure you have every chance against Sabretooth:
- Use Stagger attacks like pounce, barrage, and parry.
- Don’t forget to dodge the unblockable attacks. Time will slow down, and you’ll have a moment to counterattack.
- Use your highest level Special Abilities.
- Keep moving. Don’t let him grab you.
If you’re successful in the second phase, you’ll again be treated to a cutscene between Logan and Sabretooth, and then the next level will start, but congratulations, you now know exactly how to beat Sabretooth in Marvel’s Wolverine!
