The first half of Hellraiser: Revival has been leading here. You finally get to fight Charlotte, rather than run away from her constantly, but unfortunately, she’s ascended to the next level of being thanks to her ritual earlier in the game, so she’s a little more stabby than when you first met her during Bruno’s introduction. She’s also considerably more difficult than the game’s first boss encounter with Bruno, but don’t worry, by the end of this guide, you’ll know exactly how to beat Charlotte in Hellraiser: Revival.
How to Beat Charlotte in Hellraiser: Revival
To get here, you’ll have already spent the last hour finding three missing statue parts, sending you through sewers, docks and a posh looking compound for Bruno. Now, you’re facing a gate and a big open area, and soon, a fight with Charlotte. Before doing anything else, run around the area and pick up the ammo strewn all over. Break the boxes, reload all your guns, and be careful not to stand in the bear trap.
Go to the tree to find Sean’s last letter to Charlotte, and his hanging body, and after you’ve interacted with it, you’ll trigger a crowd of enemies to attack you. As well as that, the noise of sirens will get closer and closer until a cop car careens through the forest into the arena, and momentarily helps you fight them, before trying to arrest you. Enter Charlotte.
One click and you're done. Thank you!
This is where the boss fight kicks off, and so far, the game has given you numerous different abilities, but the main one you’ll want to pay attention to is using the Lament Configuration Box’s Telekinesis to absorb the fire around you, as that’s a big weakness of Charlotte’s. You’ll also see fuel cannisters and barrels laid around, and these are of paramount importance.
When the fight first begins, pepper her with your weapons. Unload everything except the pistol into her, and if she ventures to close to a barrel or cannister, shoot it to cover her in fire and deal massive damage. She will run and lunge at you, and when this happens, you need to evade using R1/RB her grappels, otherwise she’ll deal massive damage of her own to you. If you try and sprint, she’ll catch you, so face up, shoot, and evade.
After you’ve damaged her to almost half health, she’ll scream and run up the mountain, summoning those annoying blue-bellied-exploding enemies. Kill them quickly, and before they get too close, and then draw your pistol. If you look up the mountain, you’ll see Charlotte powering up and throwing blue explosives at you. You need to shoot these whilst she’s holding them, and not only will this damage her a lot, but she’ll come back down.
Now you’re in the second phase, and close to beating Charlotte. If you have any barrels left, position it between yourself and her, so that when she makes a beeline for you, you can explode it, again covering her in fire. If not, prepare for a longer fight, but a similar one to the first phase.
You’ll want to finish off unloading any weapons you have, and along with the barrels, cannisters and even the bear trap, you’ll see her health dwindle quite quickly. She’s a little quicker and more aggressive than in the first phase, so again, face up and evade, don’t run.
Between the amount of explosives, telekinetic items and fire you can throw, and your own weapons, you should make light work of her in this second phase, and soon enough you’ll see the familiar blue glow of banishing being possible. When this happens, walk up to her, Banish her, and take her heart.
And that’s it, that’s how you beat Charlotte in Hellraiser: Revival, and now you have the first heart to give to Sunny, and aid her full revival.
