Hellraiser: Revival is at its base, a survival horror game that’ll test your ability to react properly in the right situations. You’ll have to solve puzzles with the Lament Configuration Box, fight enemies, human and paranormal alike, and deal with conversations with the infamous Pinhead and the Cenobites. It has plenty of mechanics you’d expect from a survival horror game, including melee and gun-based combat, but it also has another stalwart mechanic from the genre; inventory management.

How to Increase Your Inventory Capacity in Hellraiser: Revival

As you progress throughout the story, you’ll find all manner of items. From important key items that thankfully don’t take up any inventory space, to everything else including treasure items that you can sell, bandages and medkits to heal, numerous different weapons to upgrade and use, and of course ammo.

You’ll struggle to carry everything you need, especially early doors, but you do have the opportunity to store certain items (always sell the treasure items, there’s no need to keep them!) in the Storage Box alongside Zora, but that has the drawback that anything you store there isn’t available until you find it again. Instead, you’re going to need to increase your inventory capacity, and as is seemingly the trend in survival horror, Hellraiser: Revival doesn’t tell you how to do that until you happen upon the very item you need.

You see, as you explore through the many areas and environments the game gives you, you’ll come across the well-hidden item ‘Inventory Capacity Upgrade’. What this does is essentially in its name. You pick them up, and your inventory capacity will increase by +8 in size.

There are around five or six of these items hidden in the game, making your final inventory capacity far bigger than what you start with. Take it from me, trying to fit an assault rifle, pistol, shotgun, several healing items, as well as repair kits and more into your original inventory is a no go.

Exploring in Hellraiser: Revival is far more important than just taking in the sights or enjoying the ambiance of the latest blood-covered room you’ve found, it’s integral to ensuring you make your job getting to the end of the game as easy as possible. Otherwise, you’re just handcuffing yourself.

If you are struggling to find Inventory Capacity Upgrades, then make good use of the sorting mechanics for your inventory. The game will tell you that space in your inventory is full, whereas you can either move stuff manually, or auto-sort it to be as efficient with the space you do have as possible. This reorganises everything, and what was once four split up squares of space becomes a group, and you’ll be able to pick up the next item you need, be it health-related, a treasure, or just more ammo.
