As you stealth your way around Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, you will eventually find yourself hiding either underneath something or inside something while you are being hunted by one of the Novices.
While you are doing this, there is a chance that the Novices will attempt to search for you inside these hiding places, and when they do, it will initiate a minigame known as Close Call, which will be your last saving grace before being found, so we are here to help you ace it!
How to Use Close Call in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy
As we mentioned above, the way you can initiate the Close Call mechanic is by hiding in one of the many hiding spots within the game as the Novice is searching for you, but the problem is, this mechanic is random and won’t always appear, so you will need to be prepared for the enemies to simply walk around and look for you rather than actually attempt to find you when you’re hiding.
However, once you have triggered the Close Call mechanic, you will now have a minigame appear on the right-hand side of your screen, which will be a large circle with an indicator in the centre showing you what button you will use; for PlayStation 5, it was L3.

The aim of this minigame is for you to keep the icon in the center of the screen, or as close to it as you can, so that you do not get found by the Novice that is searching you, but do not worry, as this minigame does have a bit of leeway involved and has quite a reasonable amount of time so that you can bring the icon back to the centre before it ends.
Once you complete the minigame, you will now be safe from the Novice and will also be granted the Close Call achievement for completing said minigame for the first time.
