After a less-than-expected twist in the story of Stupid Never Dies, we’re now fully in the middle of having to protect the surface layer from the final General, Wolfgang, and his werewolf goons. Sent to kill us by KOM, it seems the man himself is beginning to get worried by our activities, and successful activities at that, after killing the other three generals, Surtr R.S, Duke Dragul, and Takayasha-Hime.
If you’re here, you’ve just collected the Miasma Saplings, and are now struggling with protecting the mall, the Miasma Generators, or just killing Wolfgang himself. Don’t worry though, by the end of this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you could possibly need to know.
Protect the Miasma Generators
First of all, after some lengthy cutscenes and dialogue between Wolfgang and our team, all hell breaks loose. You’ll have to look after four Miasma Generators at the same time, with the game unceremoniously telling you that if one gets destroyed, you lose. Thankfully, these Generators don’t all get attacked at the same time, meaning you can pop around from one to the next, taking out the attacking enemies and then moving on.
Unfortunately though, some of the enemies that jump in through wormholes are strong. Like real strong. You’ll notice your level shoot up quickly, but you’ll want to be paying especially close attention to your Zombie Receipts you’re choosing, and making sure to grab any that’ll help you against Elite and Boss enemies, for obvious reasons.
The rest of the team in Bessie, Goyle, Acelino, and Julia will attack enemies at random, thinning out the herd as it were, but you’ll need to be on your A-Game, moving between the Miasma Generators, using your skills and Styles (of which there are plenty to choose from, thanks to the enemies spawning), to the best of your ability, and keeping a close eye on the left of the screen, where you can see the percentage health’s of each Generator.
Periodically during this passage of the fight, Wolfgang will jump down from his platform in the middle, attacking the Generators and you. Attack him with your hardest attacks now, otherwise he can quickly destroy your Generators. Once you have done enough damage to him, a new cutscene will begin, and the next stage of the fight starts.
How to Beat Wolfgang in Stupid Never Dies
If you’re here to figure out how to beat Wolfgang in Stupid Never Dies, this is the section you want. Wolfgang and his cronies have terrorised the mall, forcing you to protect the Miasma Generators and severely hurting Acelino, your ‘Lil’ Doggy’. That’s not on, and now he has to pay.
If I’m honest, thanks to the previous fights and quick levelling, if you’ve selected the right Zombie Receipts targeting extra damage against Boss enemies, you’ll have an easy time here. By the time the full fight rolled round, I was over Level 100, and outputting serious damage numbers. For example, a single bite of mine took a quarter of Wolfgang’s health away.
However, he does still pack a punch himself. The fight starts in the middle of the mall, and all other enemies have gone, at least for now. You’ll want to land some early hits, preferably heavy ones, with Skills, Styles, and Bites all being my go-to’s. He will summon backup once you hurt him enough, but if you have the health to tank it, you’re going to want to ignore them and focus on the man himself. If you happen to have any Skills that can do crowd control, like the circular saw for example, that’d be a good idea.
He will do multiple attacks at you, including a spin attack that if it hits, can hurt you, but again, for the most part, if you’re a high enough level thanks to the previous section of this layer, you should have no trouble with Wolfgang. I’d go as far as saying he’s the easiest of all the bosses you’ve fought so far.
Keep on the front foot, use your own Styles to cause him trouble (Werewolf is a good one to use), and Bite as often as you’re able, both hurting him and regaining your own health in the process. And as always, don’t forget to Stupid Parry.
And that it is, you’ve now protected the Miasma Generators, and know how to beat Wolfgang in Stupid Never Dies!
