How to Beat Wyvern in Stupid Never Dies

By now, you should understand the finer points of what Stupid Never Dies is. You’ve explored a few dungeons, upgraded yourself a little, and done it all again and then some. Now, you find yourself up against a flying fire beast of a boss, the Wyvern.

If you’re here, you’re likely struggling, but by the end of this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know in how to beat the Wyvern in Stupid Never Dies.

How to Beat Wyvern

As Davy says to Goyle upon your first encounter with a Wyvern, “What even is a Wyvern?”. That’s answered pretty quickly as it swoops in and sets the battlefield ablaze.

The Wyvern in Stupid Never Dies is a different problem altogether compared to what you’ve already fought, and there’s a trick to making it as simple as possible. The Wyvern is a giant, flying monster of an enemy, and although you’ve fought Harpy’s before, you’ve not fought an enemy that takes up so much of the screen as the Wyvern does.

His attacks, whilst mostly centered around his fire-breathing, pack a hell of a punch, and can quickly decimate your health if you’re not careful. His main attacks:

  • Flies into the air and sends fire balls towards you. These can hit you quickly, so keep moving, and don’t worry if you get hit by one or two, but don’t stop moving. The cumilative damage will hurt. Use the pillars to hide.
  • Sends a wave of fire onto the floor, which will burn you if you step in it. He then flies high and uses his breath to push it around the arena. Again, use the pillars.

The Wyvern can also fly into you causing you damage, but this is rare and easily avoided. To combat and beat the Wyvern in Stupid Never Dies, you’re going to want to use the Werewolf Style.

I know you probably expected the Harpy, as that flies, but with the air tunnels that propel you upwards, the speed of the Werewolf is beneficial here, especially with the Wild Dance or Phantom Mirage skills in use.

The key here is to never stop moving, and only stop attacking when you see an unblockable red attack, or fire coming your way. Otherwise, continue to attack. Once you do enough damage, the Wyvern will drop to the floor, belly up and exposed, vulnerable to attacks.

This is the moment you’ll want to use your special Style skill, as otherwise it’ll be wasted when it’s in the air. You’ll likely have to knock him down twice before you get anywhere close to death, but the main pointers to consider:

  • Keep moving.
  • Jump to avoid the fire when he breathes it across the floor.
  • Don’t stop attacking.
  • Use your special skills when he’s on the floor.
  • Don’t forget to bite him, or use Davy’s Burst attack.
  • Turn up overpowered, above level 30+ if you can.
