Now we are reaching the end of Act 1 within The Relic: First Guardian with only a few bosses left before we head into a new location. However, before we jump into this new area let’s talk about the next boss Feller, The Devoted Who Was Consumed that you are here to get guidance on and the quest associated with said boss if you haven’t found them yet.

We’ll walk you through location, rewards, quest info and of course, exactly how to beat Feller, The Devoted Who Was Consumed, in as few deaths as possible.

How to Find Feller, The Devoted Who Was Consumed in The Relic: First Guardian

While exploring the final stretch of The Relic: First Guardian’s Act 1, you will eventually come across a small village known as Herbhide that has unfortunately fallen to the savage world that the game inhabits. As you approach this village, you will notice an NPC outside the village gates pleading for your help. This old woman is a mother looking for aid in searching for her son within Herbhide.

Once you talk to the mother at the gate, she will provide you with the event ‘The Devoted Son is Missing’ and tasks you with searching for the son within the village. The simple part of this quest is that Herbhide is quite a linear location with a few houses to explore and some notes guiding the way for the player, ultimately leading to a cave, as shown in the image above.

After you enter this cave, it is again rather linear, with some loot hidden throughout the cave system, ultimately ending with a Tibelle’s Blessing allowing you to heal before entering the boss room.

How to Beat Feller, The Devoted Who Was Consumed

Now that you have located Feller, The Devoted Who Was Consumed, you can begin the boss fight proper. A word of warning, as you enter this boss arena you will begin to notice that the arena is quite fogged up making it quite hard to see the boss, sadly this is something that won’t change or get easier as the fight goes on making it even more challenging, but in a fun way.

The reason behind this is because Feller has been turned into a monster similar to a werewolf causing him to lurk within the depths of this cave waiting for his prey. Once you enter the arena you might have a problem of finding Feller within the room, but once you do keeping the target lock on him is incredibly important as he moves incredibly fast and is just as deadly.

The second you enter the arena for Feller, he will charge straight at you and do a leaping attack to begin the fight showing how fast and lethal he could be. After this Feller begins to show his monstrous side as he swaps between running away and around the arena looking for a blind spot on the player, or by jumping to the side before leaping at the player once again.

UPCOMING BOSSES

  • Gorvar, Blade of the Storm
  • Selvarn, the Gilded Wretch

Throughout the entire fight this becomes a common occurence from the boss as he constantly creates distance between him and the player before leaping back in to attempt to deal damage. On the off chance Feller stays in close to the player once leaping in, he will use various combos that revolve around him slashing the player with his claws in a frantic manner.

Because of this, his combos are quite small with only two to three attacks mixed in, but they can be quite fast dealing only a small amount of damage, but this can lead to a situation of dying to many cuts as you rarely have a chance to breathe except for the moments in which the boss is retreating to line up a new avenue for attacks.

In terms of poise Feller doesn’t have quite a lot with him only holding out against a few perfect parries meaning that if you can hold your ground and get used to his attacks you will easily be able to knock him down quite quickly ensuring fast and heavy damage. If you aren’t as patient you are able to use skills to knock him down much quicker, but this comes with a lot of risks as the skills in The Relic: First Guardian have large wind-ups and with Fellers fast attacks you will likely struggle to time it right.

Once you defeat Feller you will then be granted the rewards for beating him and the next event step for ‘The Devoted Son is Missing’ however your rewards for beating Feller, The Devoted Who Was Consumed are as follows:

  • Event Item – Yellow Leather Bracelet
  • A Relic – Filial Devotion
  • And His Lore
  • Relic Energy

After beating Feller and claiming these rewards you will then have to exit the cave through the way you came in as there sadly isn’t a quicker way out. This means you’ll have to proceed back through the village ultimately ending up back at the old woman from earlier.
