Just do nothing. That’s how you unlock the Mortal Shell 2 secret ending involving yourself and Baghead. Don’t do anything. Obviously there’s more to it than that, but for all intents and purposes, that’s what you have to do. By the end of the guide, though, we’ll walk you through the steps to get that secret ending, and it’s ridiculously simple.
How to Complete Baghead’s Questline and Unlock the Mortal Shell 2 Secret Ending
South of the Citadel of Penance and North of the Nochtean Gate is an island, Desolate Peak, accessible only by a traversal gate at either end. If you jump from one of those to the island, you’ll see it’s empty, except for a Sheep (kill it and get the Sheephead Totem), the Illusionist’s Cache dungeon, and a group of humans sat on the ground, wearing bags on their heads and not moving or talking. Clearly not treating you as a threat, they don’t even react to your presence, except for one on a throne, inventively called Baghead.

Chat to him, and he’ll ask if you want to join them. Say yes and then sit at the end of the group on the floor. Leave it a minute or two and then get up and go chat to Baghead again. This time, he’ll ask if you think you’re better than the others before you, say yes, and then he’ll ask if you can help him by bringing an item to him. He’ll give you a transparent riddle and tell you to bring the item in question, which is, you guessed it, nothing. He wants nothing.
Walk off a little way, then turn around and return to him. He’ll ask if you’ve returned with the item he wants. Say yes, and he’ll mention you’ve brought him nothing, and again, say yes. He then goes on a mini-monologue about how you truly get it, and that there’s an art to doing nothing, and another Baghead is needed to take his place. Then a cinematic will play showing you de-shelled, sitting on the throne surrounded by your new followers playing the Lute, as the island and the world beneath it get overrun with the Corrupted Ones.

As secret endings go, this is definitely one of the more insane ones. Choosing the life of doing nothing and playing the Lute as the end of the world occurs, taken over by Corrupted beings, is definitely a choice, and now you can watch the credits roll considerably earlier than you planned to!
