One of the challenges players will come across while exploring the game world of Control Resonant is the fact that they will be very limited in their traversal abilities at the beginning of the game, so they will likely be looking for a fast way to gain new traversal mechanics, and boy do we have one for you.
Besides the beginning abilities you gain during the tutorial of the game, there are a few different abilities you can find within places known as ‘Faults’ within the game. The first ability you will want to look for is the Reach ability, which allows you to use the various void-like balls you will likely notice within the game world to drag yourself to various locations and speed up your traversal.
How to Acquire Reach in Control Resonant

As you are exploring Control Resonant, one place you will find yourself in is the Evacuation Zone, which is arguably one of the first places you should go, as it is rather low level and allows you to learn this ability. Once you enter this area, you will want to make your way to the North end of the area through a building that is under construction and then heading right towards a train station with 3 entrances all connected in the centre.
One click and you're done. Thank you!
This train station is where you will begin your search for the Reach ability through The Subway Fault quest; you will especially know you are in the right place as Jesse will begin to appear before you, talking to you slowly, leading you to this location. After you enter these train stations, it will seem like an ordinary train station until you follow the path further down the tracks before ultimately coming across the game’s familiar spatial warping as trains become an obstacle to the player by coming up from the floor in an attempt to hit the player. Be warned, there are two trains in each hole, not one.
In order to continue down this path you will need to continue forward before eventually coming across a hole that you can fall down, but as you do you will be stuck down there until you gain the Reach ability. Once you get down this hole, you will come across another set of trains looking to do you harm; this time they are travelling across the ceiling, forcing you to run beneath them and time jumping between gaps so that you do not lose your head.
After all this you will eventually get to an area full of trains that are going in all kinds of directions that you slowly will need to traverse down. Please be warned that throughout this entire area and mission you will come across plenty of rooms filled with mold enemies that, if you have defeated The Deserter, you will be able to defeat quite easily.
Finally, once you clear out the final group of mold enemies at the bottom of the large train-filled death room, you will finally be able to get to the end of this area, which guides you to a TV that you can use to contact Jesse and learn the Reach ability. As always, in this scenario this section of the game will allow you to practise using this ability with no worry before using said new ability to escape the mission the same way you came with a few detours.
