Evacuation Zone Art Museum Picture Puzzle Solution (and Secret Room) in Control Resonant

Control Resonant is a game full of hidden secrets, puzzles that seem nonsensical and subtle story telling and Easter Eggs. Solving all of them can be hard work, but in my opinion, the art museum picture puzzle may be the hardest of the entire game, but don’r worry, we’ve solved it so you can do it now.

Evacuation Zone Art Museum Puzzle Solution

The reason I believe this to be the most difficult of all the puzzles in the game is that in this one, you’re given very little information, and a lot of it is subjective. First though, how to get there. Whether you’ve walked in the front door or through the Fast Travel Door of the Evacuation Zone, you’ll want to head down the main street as if you were going to the take the right to the Survivalist’s Bunker. Before you reach the street junction though, look to your right for an obscured, red-light-covered art museum, with scaffolding nearby.

Once you enter, you’ll see what looks like any other art museum you’ve been to. Pictures on the walls, spotlights illuminating them, a reception desk. The normal stuff. The less normal stuff is to come though. The back left wall is where the door to the Secret Society hideout is, along with the Health crate and some documents, but first you need to solve the picture puzzle itself. Your first clue is on the reception desk, which details which paintings have been sold this month:

• Journey
• Windows
• Thunder
• Tides

Believe it or not, this is the puzzle solution. You may be confused as none of the pictures on the surrounding walls have any names, and this is where the subjectivity comes into it. You have to figure out from the names above, exactly which paintings have been sold, and then put the spotlight on them.

The default setting of the lights is highlighting all three, but in simple terms, you’ll want the lights in the following positions. Make sure you start from the front door looking into the Konstig Art Museum:

• Left Wall – Middle
• Back Wall – Left
• Right Back Wall – Left
• Right Front Wall – Middle

If you’ve followed the above and set the spotlights correctly, you’ll hear the familiar clunk of a mechanical lock opening, and the wall will open at the back left and you’ll be able to access the Secret Society base below. Make sure to pick up all the collectibles, and of course the Health upgrade.
