We are finally here at the final boss in Control Resonant. With numerous other bosses behind you, you might finally feel ready to take on the final boss of the game and provide Dylan with an ending worthy of the Control franchise, but before you do this, you need to fight this large entity.
How to Find The Hedron in Control Resonant

Although it is quite obvious where The Hedron is within Control Resonant, getting there might be something people will be confused about, so first of all, what you will need to do is make sure you defeat the three Hedron links before heading into the final showdown.
One click and you're done. Thank you!
These Hedron links are the Hedron Parallel, the Hedron Factor, and the Hedron Proxy, with these being spread around the Unknown for you to find and defeat.
After you defeat these three Hedron Links, finding your way to the actual boss is quite simple, as all you will need to do is make your way over to the Oldest House location in the Unknown, where you will need to use the platform that got you over to the main island in the Unknown, but this time, rather than stopping yourself, you need to continue falling past the city towards the Hedron in the distance.

There isn’t a lot to do when you are falling either, as the game world will mold around you, but before you put your controller down, just keep an eye out, as the hole you fall through does get smaller over time, and you might just clip it and ruin the atmospheric adventure you’re taking part in.
Luckily, this is all you need to do when it comes to finding The Hedron, as the boss fight will begin once you have navigated into this abyss, so we hope you are ready for a fight.
How to Beat The Hedron
If you are feeling unprepared for this boss fight with The Hedron, there is no need to worry, as we have the build we used against this enemy below, but at this point you will likely be fine:
- Glaive – Wide sweeping attack that deals raw damage
- Crush – A slow but high-damage attack that can knock enemies down
- Split Pivot combo finisher – A spinning blade that appears at the end of a combo
- Volatile Anomaly – Summons an ally that shoots enemies and can be thrown at them
- Inferno – Turns your melee weapon and Volatile Anomaly into fire based attacks
- Push – Allows you to push enemies with great force
- Growth – Summons turret-like enemies that inflict Infected status effect
- Spike – Summons an Astral Sphere that attacks enemies and inflicts the Astrolized status effect
- Command – Takes control of enemies to turn them to your side
- Spore Burst – Allows you to shoot spores at enemies to build up Infected status effect
Phase One
Now that you have found your way to The Hedron boss fight, you will finally be able to fight it, but just like the other Hedrons, you do not fight the actual boss; instead, you fight the numerous entities it will spawn around you.
First, you won’t have anything to attack when you enter this battle, as The Hedron will throw numerous hammer-like objects towards you that you will need to avoid in various patterns, just like the Hedron Parallel before eventually summoning a collection of blades that will move around the game arena.
These floating blades are the main group of enemies that you will want to focus your attention on, as these are how you deal damage to the boss. So what you will need to do is wait until these blades stand still in the air after they float back and forward along the island you are standing on, and then you deal damage to them.
Once you defeat enough of these small enemies, a larger enemy will spawn somewhere on the platform that you will need to defeat. Luckily this enemy doesn’t fight back, so you simply just need to wail on it, making The Hedron lose a large chunk of its health.
The rest of The Hedron boss fight in this arena is as simple as rinse and repeat until you take its health down low enough for you to do a finisher on the main Hedron entity itself, leading you into the next area of the fight.
Phase Two
After you have done the two finishers you need to do on the large Hedron entity, you can now head into the second phase of the boss fight, as this throws you into a new arena that you will need to fight in.
Although you are in a new arena, the process of fighting the boss is still exactly the same, as it will spawn a new group of enemies for you to fight, but instead of them being saw blades that move across the arena. This time, they will each emit a laser beam across the arena sideways that you will need to avoid.
While fighting in this phase, the main boss will throw a curveball at you both literally and metaphorically, as the boss will sometimes throw an energy beam saw blade towards you to deal a small amount of damage and to distract you, but avoiding these blades is quite easy and not a big problem to avoid.
The final attack the boss will use against you that could cause you some distress is when it brings back all the different enemies that were floating around the arena and instead does its own large laser attack that focuses on where you are and tracks you around the arena. Although this attack is quite slow and easy to avoid, it can hurt like a truck if you let it.
However, if you hit the enemies, the one you hit will stop in its place and stop its laser beam attack, allowing you to damage it and eventually defeat said enemy. Just like the first phase, all you simply need to do is keep fighting these different enemies until a large enemy spawns that will not fight back as you slowly take the main boss’s health down so that you can use a finisher on it.
Phase Three
Now you have made it to the third phase of this boss fight, where you will again, after completing the two finishers, find yourself in a new arena where you have to fight various entities the boss will throw at you.
To defeat the boss in this phase, you will need a lot of patience, as the entities that spawn do not stay around for very long and have a lot of health, so defeating them can take quite a while if you aren’t prepared, while also having to deal with two separate areas, one above you and one below that you will need to constantly swap between to chase down the enemies that are spawning between them.
This time, the enemies that spawn will use the attack that summons odd-shaped projectiles to chase you around and explode around you, or the attack that tries to drag you in and explode around you, or finally the attack where they torpedo towards you and explode.
Each of these attacks can be quite annoying, as there are a few different enemies lurking around you, meaning you have to keep your head on a swivel to avoid them, but once you manage to take down some of these enemies, you won’t need to worry as much about the others.
Because the arenas are so chaotic, there is a chance that the boss will use the ability to spawn bombs on the floor to keep you moving around, but with the enemies spawning all around the arena, you won’t notice them too much, as you are constantly running around searching for new enemies anyway.
Along with the main boss enemies, there will also be some small enemies that you will need to chase down to help clear the arena slightly; otherwise, you can get quite overwhelmed.
As always, your main goal is simply to focus on taking down the larger enemies in this boss fight in order to take the boss’s health down low enough for a final finisher, allowing you to head into a new section of the boss fight.
Phase Four

Now, technically this isn’t much of a phase in terms of fighting the boss and is more focused on story than anything else, but it would be amiss of me to mention it, as after the cutscene takes place (which is awesome, by the way), you will now have to chase down The Hedron in a void-like area while also fighting the Hedron enemies that spawn around you.
Due to what happens in the cutscene, you are now buffed up a lot, allowing you to take down the different enemies easily, removing the challenge of this phase. However, you will have to clear out the enemies to proceed to the next area, and doing this can be irritating, as the platforms ahead of you can remove themselves or teleport away, as this is The Hedron trying to stop you from chasing it, so be careful of what platform you jump to and don’t waste all your movement at once.
Once you get used to how this section works, actually catching up to The Hedron is a piece of cake and can be quite simple to do so with a few more fighting areas and a lot of parkour to complete, but as you do this, you will eventually find yourself up close and personal with this boss, and you can defeat it with ease.
Due to this being the last boss, you won’t gain any abilities to aid you, but you will gain a new perk you can unlock known as ‘Ruthless’, which will be a big help for clearing out any side quests you haven’t finished.
