How to Beat the Hedron Proxy in Control Resonant

Last Updated on Sep 27, 2026 @ 16:11:30 PM.

At this point within Control Resonant, there aren’t many bosses left for you to fight, with the Hedron Proxy being one of the 3 Hedron links that can be found within the Unknown. If you haven’t already taken on the Hedron Parallel or Hedron Factor, you will need to fight these as well, but for now let’s talk about the Hedron Proxy.

How to Find the Hedron Proxy in Control Resonant

Similar to the Hedron Factor, what you will need to do is head over to the upper section of the Unknown, where there are three more islands for you to venture to; however, you will only need the two small islands, with the first one being the top-left island, as you will need to head from the mainland to this island first to follow the path.

In order to follow this path, you will first need to head to the mainland and find the objective for Pope’s Research, which is a hot air balloon that has beacons located within. Once you place these beacons on their set locations, you will summon a platform that will allow you to traverse towards the first island.

Now that you have made it to the first island, you will then need to again discover another hot air balloon related to Pope’s Research quest that, once all the beacons have been placed, will allow you to move over to the second island, which is where you will need to stop, as the Fault can be found near this island.

After you arrive on the second island, you will need to make your way to the rear of the island, as this is where the path towards the fault can be found and easily accessed, but there will be enemies around, so be warned; they will try to stop you from getting there.

Once you make it to the Fault, just like the other Hedron links, the pathway towards the boss is incredibly linear, with not much to worry about in terms of exploring, so simply follow the path, and you will ultimately end up at the boss ready for a fight.

How to Beat the Hedron Proxy

Now you have managed to reach the Hedron Proxy; you will be ready to fight it, but if you are feeling unready to do so, here is the build we used to defeat this boss:

  • Glaive – Wide sweeping attack that deals raw damage
  • Crush – A slow but high-damage attack that can knock enemies down
  • Split Pivot combo finisher – A spinning blade that appears at the end of a combo
  • Volatile Anomaly – Summons an ally that shoots enemies and can be thrown at them
  • Inferno – Turns your melee weapon and Volatile Anomaly into fire based attacks
  • Push – Allows you to push enemies with great force
  • Growth – Summons turret-like enemies that inflict Infected status effect
  • Spike – Summons an Astral Sphere that attacks enemies and inflicts the Astrolized status effect

After you are ready, you can begin your fight, and be prepared, as out of all 3 Hedron links, this one is arguably one of the toughest to fight, as it has a lot more attacks under its belt that it will use against you while also having a lot more power behind these attacks.

Just like the other Hedron links, this boss isn’t your main focus, but you should instead look towards the various enemies that will spawn from the main boss, as these are the only way for you to do damage. Unlike the other bosses, these enemies are a lot tankier and have a unique attack where they charge towards the player like a torpedo, exploding as they get close, which can do a lot of damage if you don’t dodge away.

Along with this attack, these enemies can also begin doing a more dangerous attack the longer the fight goes on, where they will all erupt from the main boss and spread out across the entire arena before doing a charge attack, which is especially dangerous, and the reason being is that it tempts you into rushing in for an attack, but if you do this, you cannot escape, as the charge will finish with a gravitational pull towards the enemy that you physically can’t escape from before ultimately blowing up, dealing a large amount of damage.

The main reason these enemies are more annoying than the other bosses is simply because they do not stay out of the main body very long, as they either do the torpedo attack and quickly retreat, or they spread out around the map and explode before retreating.

Due to this, there isn’t a whole lot of time to do damage, so I found myself using the summons to help me do damage while I was dodging, but because I wasn’t doing a lot of attacks, I wasn’t getting enough power to do so, meaning the fight took a lot longer than normal.

Just like the Hedron Factor, this boss will also summon extra enemies for you to fight during the boss battle, but they don’t enter the fray until quite late in the fight, meaning that you won’t be struggling against them for long or benefiting from them either.

Other than this, there isn’t a lot to worry about with the Hedron Proxy, and you will be able to defeat it quite easily before leading you to the next boss within the game. Once you defeat the Hedron Proxy, you will then be able to earn its rewards, and again, like the other Hedrons, you will not earn an ability; you will earn rewards such as:

  • 1x Living Shard
  • 3x Patterned Thought
  • 1x Ordered Image
  • 740 Source
