Control Resonant is a game that rewards you for exploring. You’ll have to do a considerable amount during your time finishing up the story anyway, but if you do a little more, you can find all manner of side quests that really push the envelope of Remedy’s weirdness. From teleporting speakers in The Complete Set quest to this, and more, there’s something for everyone, If you’re struggling though, by the end of this guide we’ll have walked you through the finer points of what to do to complete the Carbon Copy quest in Control Resonant, and save Heidi and her twin sister in the process.

How to Complete the Carbon Copy Quest in Control Resonant

You’ll have been heading into The Park district to find and fight The Collective, this district’s Resonant. As you can see, the area is covered by Mold, with entire buildings swallowed up and an absence of Hiss, although not an absence of Mold enemies, unsurpisingly. You’ll likely hear Heidi long before you see her, as she’s crying and wailing about having had to leave behind her twin sister. She’s situated in the middle of the district, high up in a building where the only entrance is a balcony. If you’re activated the Map Kit for the district you’re in the right area.

Once you’ve found her, chat with her and find out her plight, which is predictably about her sister. She wants to go and save her, but due to the Mold, can’t, and asks you to go instead. She’ll give you a key, which you should take, and then you’re off to find her sister.

Find Heidi’s Twin Sister in the Park

Now, I’ll be upfront here. Getting to Heidi is a monumental pain, requiring multiple fights and a rather long way around. Due to the Mold, the Patterning and general destruction that has occurred, you’ll have to go the very long way round to get to her. First, you’ll need to find and head through the multi-story car park, which after a fight with a substantial amount of Mold enemies, brings you to the Sewers. These sewers are a maze, and if you’re not careful, you can and will get lost. Use the map to your advantage, and you’ll find your way out soon enough, after another big fight of course. I’d suggest you open the door directly in front of you,, saving you having to do the same route again in the future, by the way!

Now turn around and head towards the other end of the street. You may have a World Feat here, where you’ll need to protect the Crate, but either way, Gravity Shift your way across the Patterned street ahead of you, and then head right, towards Hannah. Her rooftop is heavily guarded by numerous enemies, so once you dispatch of those, open the door with the key Heidi gave you, and make your way inside and into Hannah’s apartment. She’s in her bedroom at the back of the apartment, and after having a chat with her, she’ll probably put you in mind of Sandra and the recordings during the Power Lines quest. Once you’ve finished chatting with her, turn tail and head back to Heidi, although thankfully your route is far shorter this time.

Head to the left, across the poisonous stream of fungus and keep going until you hit a crossroads, right after a Gravity Shift section as well. Clear out the enemies here, and then head right, through the door and back into the main section of The Park. You now have another quick entryway back, as well. Hannah hasn’t moved from her inital spot in her new loft, and after another short chat with her, you’ll have completed the Carbon Copy Quest in Control Resonant.

Completing the objectives isn’t the hard part of this quest,, but it’s the unnecessary deviations from the standard routes, the hard to navigate areas and the amount of enemies between you and Heidi. It’s also a glorified fetch quest wrapped up in some weird and wonderful storytelling, and the quest itself functions as a meta-commentary on the Mold, when you really begin to think about it.
