It’s not secret that Alan Wake and Control Resonant are intrinsically linked. The Remedy Connected Universe is a thing of beauty, linking the majority of Remedy’s recent releases in some obvious, and less than obvious, ways.
Alan Wake made an appearance in the first game’s DLC, and the Federal Bureau of Control, the governmental branch of Paranormal Investigation featured heavily in Alan Wake 2, so I don’t think anyone is that surprised to see at least one Alan Wake Easter Egg appear in this game.

Alan Wake Easter Egg in Control Resonant Location
I’m not going to go into the specifics of how the two games are linked, what it means for either one, or the implications of it in the larger universe, because all of our heads will hurt, but I will explain exactly where you can find the Alan Wake Easter Egg in Control Resonant.
You may find the Easter Egg pretty early on, during your first time into the Evacuation Zone for the main mission, or perhaps when you uncover The Subway Fault, where you pick up the Reach ability, but I didn’t find it then. During the Survivalist mission Urban Survival, you’ll be tasked with heading pretty much right to the Easter Egg itself.
As part of that mission, you’ll be sent to the Northernmost section of the Evacuation Zone, which looks like a sideways T. When you’re there, head to the bottom of the T and you’ll be in front of an apartment building. Head to the rooftop (there’s a Freeze Camera here) and inside the building itself.
Head downstairs and through the apartment door, and then down the hallway to the right. You’ll clearly see a bright, flashing TV at the end, so go and interact with it.
Watch the video that plays, and that’s it. That’s the Alan Wake Easter Egg in Control Resonant. I’m going to let you see it for yourself, but safe to say it’s bizarre, as per usual for Remedy.
What it means, how it impacts stuff going forward or whether it’s all meaningless good fun? Well we don’t know that yet. Either way, it’s good to see the connections keep flowing.
