Control Resonant is full of side quests. Some are hidden away nicely, waiting for you to find them, while others are shoved in your face from the off, and in the case of this one, Carbon Copy: Part 2, this is one that is both. If you’re struggling to wrap your head around the ever increasing meta-commentary of this quest and complete it, don’t worry, by the end of this guide you’ll know everything you need to know to complete Carbon Copy: Part 2 quest in Control Resonant.

How to Finish the Carbon Copy: Part 2 Quest in Control Resonant
As already mentioned, this quest chain is one that you have to happen upon (part 1), and also one that is unmissable, assuming you’ve done certain bits and pieces in the lead up to the sinkhole section of the game. During your chat with Pope after that, she will tell you that Langston wants to have a chat and a favour, which is the Into the Valley of Death Quest, but also that Dr. Florez wants your assistance. This will only trigger if you’ve completed the first part, though.
Head down into the front of the Oldest House where the FBC’s Field Office is situated, and you’ll find Dr. Florez standing doing some tests in front of the medical office. She will first of all try and get you to look into the headless body upstairs, but if you’ve already completed the Crossing the Threshold quest, Dylan will tell her as much. She’ll then move onto what we’re here for, and explain the situation with Heidi and Hannah, and how Heidi doesn’t believe that Hannah is really her sister. You’ll have to go and find her, and search for clues for her to get to the bottom of it all.
Search for Clues to Find Heidi
Dr. Florez will mention that due to a lack of Mold PPE, she cannot check on or question her patient, Hannah, about the whereabouts of Heidi. This isn’t a worry for you, so head into the ER Medical Centre and talk to Hannah. you’ll notice there’s an abundance of Mold around her, and as you chat to her, Hannah’s only responses are ‘Mold noises’. Even less responsive and making less sense than when you met her in the apartment.
Once you’ve finished the ‘interrogation’ of Hannah, you’ll want to explore the area and look for the note on the bed behind her. It’s a note from Heidi repeating what we already know she’s said, that it isn’t her sister, and she’s going to her apartment to check for herself that she’s not there… which is where we’re now going. You can go and chat to Dr. Florez first, if you want, but it’s not necessary for the quest.
Return to Heidi and Hannah’s Apartment
It’s up to you, but I’d suggest saving yourself some time and using the Fast Travel Door in the Field Office, and travelling back to The Park. From there, head over to the apartment for the second time, and you’ll find Heidi in the bathroom, unfortunately dead.
Dylan will radio in to Zoe and explain the situation, as it looks like the situation is done and finished with. But what killed Heidi? Is Hannah even Hannah? Maybe we find out in a third part?
