If you have managed to get this far in Control Resonant, you will have already managed to defeat another variation of the Hedron enemy, as there is the Hedron Parallel before this which blocks you from even accessing this boss fight, let alone the area it can be found in.
However, if you have managed to get this far, you will not be against the second version of this boss type, which can be very difficult to find, not because it is hidden but simply because navigating to it can cause a bit of confusion for the player.
How to Find the Hedron Factor in Control Resonant
In order to find the Hedron Factor within Control Resonant, first, as we have said above, you will need to make your way to the Unknown, where you first encountered the Hedron Parallel boss, but instead of it simply being where you enter the location, you will have to jump through quite a few hoops in order to find this boss, and that isn’t a hypothetical either.
One click and you're done. Thank you!
The first thing you will need to do is begin the quest Pope’s Research, which will be a constant quest throughout this entire area, as it tasks you with placing various beacons throughout the Unknown at the request of Pope herself, and by doing this, you will generate a platform that you will need to use the Reach ability to access.
Once you do this, you will need to take a leap of faith, and I mean that literally, as once you are standing on this platform, you will be standing in the perfect position to fall down towards the city in the centre of the location, but you will need to make sure that you aim for one of the buildings or use reach when you are near an opportunity for it; otherwise, you will continue falling towards the Hedron in the distance.
After you stop yourself from falling through the city, you will need to head towards the bottom-ish left of the map, where a small island location can be seen in the distance. This will be your first island to head to, as you can see in the map image above with the arrows guiding your path.

To get here again, you need to follow Pope’s Research quest, as there will be a hot air balloon nearby with more beacons hidden within. Once you place these beacons in the right location, another platform will spawn, allowing you to again Reach up towards it and proceed to jump off, falling towards the small island.
Now that you have this gameplay loop down, you simply need to rinse and repeat the process on this island so that you can then move over to the island on the bottom right of the map, but do not leave this island and head to the large one in the middle of these two islands, as this is where you will need to be to find the Fault.
As you approach this final island, you do not need to continue with Pope’s Research to continue towards the Fault, as it can be found towards the rear of the island, where a set of platforms will guide you to the Fault and ultimately the final boss.
Just like the first of these Faults leading to the Hedron bosses, the pathway is incredibly linear, so you do not need to worry in regard to finding your way.
How to Beat the Hedron Factor
If you are wondering if you are ready to take this boss on, do not worry as we have included the build we used to fight this boss below so you have no need to worry. The build we used was:
- Glaive – Wide sweeping attack that deals raw damage
- Crush – A slow but high-damage attack that can knock enemies down
- Split Pivot combo finisher – A spinning blade that appears at the end of a combo
- Volatile Anomaly – Summons an ally that shoots enemies and can be thrown at them
- Inferno – Turns your melee weapon and Volatile Anomaly into fire based attacks
- Push – Allows you to push enemies with great force
- Growth – Summons turret-like enemies that inflict Infected status effect
- Spike – Summons an Astral Sphere that attacks enemies and inflicts the Astrolized status effect
Now you are within the boss’s vicinity; you will have to fight it, and doing this is incredibly easy, as just like the Hedron Parallel, fighting the actual boss isn’t the main goal of this boss fight, but you will instead need to focus your attention towards the numerous enemies that the boss will spawn, as this is the only way you can damage them.
Just like the Hedron Parallel, this boss will slowly spawn enemies around it, but instead of a large group of them, it will first spawn one singular enemy at a time, which is larger and more dangerous, as they are rather tanky and don’t stay out of the main boss form for very long, meaning you have a very limited time to do damage to them.
While these enemies are outside of the main boss form, there is only one attack they can use against you, that being an ability that summons strange projectiles that will slowly track you around the arena as they eventually explode around you if they get too far away from you.
After a short while there will be a new attack that can cause you to need to move around the arena, as bombs will spawn on the floor in a rather chaotic situation, as they spawn randomly on the floor and explode in a random order, meaning you will likely have to run to another location or fly into the sky to avoid them, but it does seem that this is simply a deterrent from keeping you in one place and ensuring you run around the arena.
Other than this, the other threat you need to look out for is that small enemies will spawn throughout the fight once you get the boss to around 2/3 of its health, meaning that you have to avoid the various explosions on the floor once they spawn and battle two variations of enemies that are constantly attacking you while focusing on the larger enemies to actually deal damage to the boss.
Overall, the boss itself is quite simple once you can manage to get a handle on all of these aspects and will go down quite quickly, especially if you manage to get Dominance from the smaller enemies, allowing for quicker damage to the larger enemies. As you defeat this boss, you will earn the rewards from beating it, which again will not be an ability, as this isn’t a Resonant, but instead will be:

- 3x Ordered Image
