Are you finding Atomfall difficult? Struggling to find the right weapon or keycard for the situation? How about missing a key recipe? In this guide we’ll explain where you can find the Modified JM-3 weapon within Atomfall, allowing you to take enemies out with ease.
Where to Find the Modified JM-3 Weapon
While exploring Atomfall, you will come across plenty of weapons that the enemies will drop along your journey, but there is one weapon that will allow you to take on the numerous enemies of Atomfall both at range and up close, and that weapon is the Modified JM-3.
What makes this weapon interesting is the fact that it is one of a kind and is easily missed, as it can be found within a random cave within Skethermoor and requires a bit of searching to ensure you do not miss it.
To find this unique weapon, you will first be required to head to Skethermoor and head to the coordinates 41.1E 79.3N, as this will lead you to the Secluded Cave. You will know when you reach this cave as it stands out amongst the rest; however, finding the Modified JM-3 may prove difficult.
Once you enter this cave, you will notice the telltale signs that this area is infested with Feral enemies and explosive plants that will lead to a lot of problems for the player. The best option for finding this unique weapon in this cave is by hugging the left-hand wall of the cave and slowly moving around the cave, avoiding the Feral enemies and the explosive plants.
As you follow the wall around, you will eventually come across a wall that has a squeeze-through option. This is easy to notice as the wall stands out with a small skull next to the squeeze-through and light breaking through the gap.
Once you squeeze through this hole, you will be safe from the enemies, and you will also be able to find the unique Modified JM-3 weapon that is sitting there awaiting you. Now that you have acquired this weapon, you will see that it is similar to the Marksman rifles you can acquire within the game, but with some distinct changes.
These changes are things like a sniper scope that allows for a reasonable amount of zoom, a 20-round magazine allowing for fewer reloads, and a very fast fire rate allowing it to be nearly fully automatic.
In terms of enemies, this weapon is incredibly strong, as it nearly one-shot headshot all of the human enemies that you will come across, and in some cases, either one or two shot the ferals when aiming for their heads.
