Have you been looking for a new combat advantage in Valor Mortis? Then look no further, as we are here to help you obtain the next ability in the game that will allow you to take enemies down with ease, and that is the Stasis Transmutation, which allows you to freeze enemies with a single use for small enemies and multiple uses for big enemies, while also being useful for traversing the world by freezing obstacles and buildings in place.
How to Get the Stasis Transmutation in Valor Mortis

When it comes to actually finding the Stasis Transmutation, you will need to jump through quite a few hoops to actually find where it is hidden, but to speed up your journey and to stop you from worrying, to begin your search for this ability, you will need to at least be in chapter 4 of Valor Mortis within the Salt Mines and have at least made it into the underground section of the game after you have earned the wall jumping ability as well as progressed far enough to open the shortcut from this area back to the first fast travel point in this chapter.
Now that you are within reach of the Stasis Transmutation, you will need to head back into the depths from the shortcut you have made between the first fast travel point and the depths themselves. From here, you will need to use your new wall-running abilities to move even further down into the Salt Mines before fighting a flaming flesh blob and walking over some rickety bridges, encountering a new enemy type, which is the tall, lanky soldier, but this time with a flamethrower and musket.
Behind this enemy, you will now enter a large puzzle-like room that you will need to maneuver around by heading to the left of the entrance towards an enemy and a box that is being held by a cargo lift. Once you jump over this section, you will find another enemy and a ladder leading upwards, where you will need to activate a lever to pull the cargo up so you can again jump over the gap.
As you approach this area, you will see a blue flame to show a memory, but this isn’t tied to the Stasis Transmutation and is more just here for lore reasons, but it is a good indicator you are in the right place.
Once you approach this area, you will need to take a left, and you will see a locked gate, but sadly this cannot be bypassed yet. Instead, you will need to turn to the center of the room, where a rotating platform can be seen, with a lever on the platform you are currently standing on that will turn the platform from the left to the right, but before you do so, there is some loot hidden on the left-hand platform in some boxes.
After you turn the platform in the centre, it will automatically move to the right-hand side and will not stop, which will annoy you, as there is a lantern across from you, but do not worry, as now that the platform is facing right, you can climb onto it and head into the cave to the right, where there will be a small trap waiting for you and the opportunity to unlock the Stasis Transmutation.
As you avoid the trap, you will notice that the familiar fleshy tendrils are nearby, with a dead body being held inside, and this is where you can get the Stasis Transmutation, which now allows you to freeze enemies, which can be a challenge as the tougher an enemy is, the more charges are required to trigger the stasis, or the ability to freeze objects in place, such as gears that can hold doors open or freeze the rotating platform from before in place.
Due to this being a combat transmutation, you can also upgrade this back at Lious, so make sure to venture back to the Abandoned Church and check out if you can boost this new power at all.
