At some point within Valor Mortis, you will eventually begin to potentially get bored of the standard sword you start the game with and are likely looking for a new weapon to play with, and we have good news for you as this guide is here to help you find the Rapier weapon within the game.

How to Get the Rapier in Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis Rapier stuck in a dead NPC.

In order to get the Rapier weapon in Valor Mortis, first what you will need to do is progress far enough in the game to have fought General Lothaire, The Eagle-Bearer, and make your way into the Abandoned Church that he is guarding.

After you defeat this boss and head through the Abandoned Church, you will be granted the opportunity to head out the other side into a small garden/cemetery, which has a few different paths that you can eventually head down, but the path you will want to follow is quite straightforward.

That being said, once you head out of the left-hand side of the church, you will need to turn right and follow the stone path on the floor, which will guide you to a fountain and an archway that is sealed by a corpse and some of the horrible virus that is spreading throughout the world.

As you approach this archway, you will be provided the option to interact with it, which will allow you to pull the sword out of the dead body that is stuck in the center, providing you access to the Rapier.

While using the Rapier weapon, you will now have access to a new variation of attacks. The Rapier is a more precise weapon that focuses on stabbing rather than slashing, and this allows you to burst the boils on enemies and walls without having to resort to bullets from your gun.

Along with this, the Rapier is better for parrying, allowing a stronger parry, and providing even further stagger progress against enemies, making it easier to get those powerful stagger attacks.
