While you are exploring the game world of Valor Mortis, you will likely come across quite a few different traversal mechanics that you cannot use just yet, one of which is the ability to wall run, providing you with all new locations to explore, but finding this ability may take a bit longer than you think.
How to Get the Wall Running Ability in Valor Mortis

To begin your search for the wall-running ability in Valor Mortis, you will first need to be at least in Chapter 4, which is the Salt Mines, where you will need to make your way towards the second lantern down in the depths.
In order to do this, you will need to do a fair amount of exploring, as this location is a slight maze which also contains a quest known as ‘The Homesick’ that can help guide you around said area.
However, to cut to the wall-running ability, what you will need to do is head to the beginning of the salt mines and the first rest lantern. After this, you will only have one pathway to go down, which is opposite the entrance, and this is where the Homesick side quest can be started.
As you head through this room, you will move onto a rather large area filled with enemies and holes that you need to be careful around, but the main path you will want to focus on is on the right-hand side of this room, where a wall will be blocking a path that you will need to use the Grapple ability to open.
After you open this path, you do have the opportunity to follow the walkway to another wall that you can open that leads back to the rest lantern, or you can jump towards a tree branch that will take you over to another cliff that you can follow downwards towards the depths of the salt mines.
Once you enter these depths, you will come across an enemy that is hiding before coming up against an obstacle that requires some wall running, and this is where you will earn this skill and move further into the game world, such as the next lantern rest spot in this chaotic location.
