Throughout Valor Mortis, you will have no doubt completed a large variety of quests, from quests that span the entire game to quests that take only 5 minutes to complete, but now you have made it to your final quest within Valor Mortis, and that is The Choir, which can be found in Chapter 11 and must be completed before you leave, as you cannot return once you leave.
How to Complete The Choir Quest in Valor Mortis
As we have said above, once you make your way into Chapter 11, you will now be able to access The Choir quest in this area, and completing it will be a fun challenge for those involved.
Once you begin this chapter, you will have been locked away in a prison cell by no other than Napoleon himself and freed by the Shrike, with your one goal of escaping this prison, but sadly all your weapons have been taken away from you except your transmutations.
Due to this, you will have to rely on stealth to get around this location and avoid the Eternal Guards that are lurking around each corner of the prison.
To actually begin The Choir quest, you will need to make your way through the prison until you find a small office with a note on the table, and this note will begin the quest, as it mentions that the warden is looking to make the prison better through music, but as you likely have guessed so far with Valor Mortis, this quest won’t end well.

In order to progress this quest, you will first need to make your way around the prison, and our best suggestion would be to focus on getting your gear back, which can only be acquired by gaining the Armoury key from the upstairs sections of the location.
To make things clearer, the prison is built over 3 floors: the first floor being where you will spawn in, the second being where you will collect the quest, and the third being where you will need to go to find the armoury key. Technically, there could be a fourth floor, as you can climb through the scaffolding to stealth around, but for argument’s sake, this is classed as part of the third floor.
Once you make your way through this location and find the third floor, you will need to traverse the scaffolding to make your way over the enemies and eventually to a small canteen where a dead body can be found and the armoury key. Now you have the armoury key; you will need to head back to the second floor and find the locked door that leads to a large chest and numerous weapons laid around the room.
This is where you will get your weapons back and be able to begin clearing out the area of the Eternal Guard, and do not worry, as these guards are quite easy to defeat and won’t be much trouble to defeat.
Now you have your gear and have the ability to clear out the area; you will now need to head back upstairs, and you will notice a door on the far side of the hallway. Sadly, this is the door to the Chapel where you need to go, but it is locked; thankfully, the key is not far.
If you have been exploring, you will have noticed that a few locations will have been blocked by boils that you need your weapons to clear out, and one of these boils is where the key will be hiding. The boil in question is on the third floor to the right of where you make your way up the stairs, but the path there isn’t that simple, as you will need to follow the path forward, taking out the Eternal Guard on your right before following said path to the right and defeating another Eternal Guard there as well.
After defeating both of these guards, you will then need to follow this path through a second room before finally finding the boil you need to destroy, leading you to another office. This office is where you will get the Chapel key, allowing you access to the room where the quest will continue.

Just like we mentioned earlier, you will need to head back to the area where you just arrived on the third floor, where you will then head straight forward towards the locked door, but be careful as another Eternal Guard is here guarding the door.
After opening the door, you will see a memory which reveals that the warden has been using the sounds of the prisoners as they hung from the ceiling to make music from their pain and agony. However, once you enter the room, your quest is not complete, as you will find a note on the back of the altar in this room, which William mentions he wants to place in an area where people will find it.
This now leads you out of the prison into the village, and this can be quite easy to miss, as once you break out of the prison and exit the sewers, you will find yourself at a lantern rest spot where you can take a breather, and this is where the final step of this side quest is, as a billboard is right next to this lantern rest spot where you can place the paper and finish The Choir quest.
