While you are exploring the vast world of Valor Mortis you will often come up against problems that cannot be resolved until later in the game, and that is simply because you will need to return with certain items to proceed past these problems. Thankfully, you do not need to run back all the way if you find a new item, but instead you can use fast travel; however, it won’t be available right away.
How to Fast Travel in Valor Mortis
In order to fast travel in Valor Mortis, you will first need to progress quite a ways through the game past two boss battles and a fair bit of exploring, but once you do acquire the ability to fast travel, it completely opens up your opportunities and provides a new sense of freedom to the game, as you can now head back and uncover numerous secrets that you once couldn’t uncover.
When it comes to unlocking fast travel in Valor Mortis, you will first need to venture through the game’s main story and follow a long path through various enemies and even some side quests before eventually making your way to a boss fight outside of a church.
The boss fight in question is with the boss General Lothaire, The Eagle-Bearer, whom you will have fought for the second time, and once you beat him, you will gain access to the church that he is guarding.

As you approach the church, you will be introduced to this hub-like area where you will be able to upgrade your weapons, upgrade Transmutations, and more, but the game doesn’t warn you that fast travel has now been unlocked unless you approach the lantern where you can rest
Now that you have access to the fast travel system, you can move around the game world in a whole new way while also being able to explore each lantern you have uncovered right from the beginning of the game.
