While venturing through Valor Mortis, you will come across plenty of bosses that will take your breath away in terms of their difficulty, their size, and their overall skill in killing you, but this next boss doesn’t really have any of those features to speak of, as she is simply a woman who drowned on her wedding day due to some rather sad situations taking place.
How to Find Anna, The Bride Drowned in Tears in Valor Mortis

Now, to find Anna, The Bride Drowned in Tears, you will first need to be within Chapter 6 of Valor Mortis, and unlike the other bosses in this game, Anna changes the game slightly, as she isn’t a final boss of the chapter but is instead an intro boss in this chapter, as you will find her incredibly early in this chapter and will have to fight her to both begin a side quest and move forward in this story.
In order to actually find the boss, what you will need to do is move through the flooded town as best as you can, as there are quite a few enemies that are lurking in the depths that you need to wade through and are looking to fight you and slow you down.
The first thing you will need to do is make your way through the flooded streets, as there is only one way to go until you reach the end of the path and can follow the road to the right around a house. As you do this, there will be a path leading up onto the second floor of the house, allowing you to run around the edge of the house, but be warned: there are a few threats hanging on the trees just out of reach, so make sure you bring a gun.
As you progress around and through the various houses in this area, you will eventually reach a drop-down where you will look at arches made of flowers. This is the walk-up to the boss arena where you will encounter the boss, Anna, The Bride Drowned in Tears, so make sure you come to this area prepared and even activate the shortcuts to save you losing health items if you need to run back.
How to Beat Anna, The Bride Drowned in Tears

Once you approach this arena, Anna, The Bride Drowned in Tears will emerge from the water ready to fight with you, and fight she shall, as this boss is rather similar to the basic enemies you will have fought throughout the game, but she does have a few tricks up her sleeve.
In order to provide a comprehensible description of the boss’s attacks, we have created a list below for you to read so that you know what you are walking into when starting this boss fight.
- One of the more deadly attacks the boss will use, and often to start the fight, is when she runs towards you and leaps with an unblockable attack; this can move fast and does a lot of damage
- The boss will often do basic single slash attacks towards the player, closing small distances
- Sometimes the boss will fall into the water in a rather comedic way, but when she does this, you need to look around, as she will appear somewhere else and will likely try to flank you
- A long combo the boss will use is as they slash numerous times towards you, dealing a lot of damage
- Once you get the boss to around half health, when she dives into the water, she will begin to summon enemies, with 2 of these enemies being spike users who rush towards you and 1 being an axe thrower
After this, the boss will become quite dormant as she relies on these similar attacks and is quite squishy in terms of health, so fighting her becomes incredibly easy as you either focus on her summons or focus on her during this period.
Once you defeat Anna, The Bride Drowned in Tears, you will earn yourself 14,000 Catalysts and the opportunity to begin the side quest tied to her.
