While you are exploring the depths of Chapter 4 in Valor Mortis, you will no doubt arrive at the minecart section of the game, which was a very big surprise to us as you jump down into a minecart and begin to traverse the rails, making snap judgments and decisions to survive, which isn’t so easy at breakneck speed.
How to Complete the Minecart Section in Valor Mortis

As you arrive at this section, you will definitely be surprised that you are sitting in a minecart with no way to control or knowledge of where you are going, and will likely be taken by surprise by what you will need to do to survive this section of the game; well, worry not, as we are here to help you.
To find this section of the game, if you haven’t already, there isn’t much to worry about, as it is impossible to miss in the story, as it is a part of the final section of Valor Mortis‘ chapter 4 between the two final fast travel locations once you have done all the exploration after the third fast travel point and unlocked all the different shortcuts leading back to it.
Once you gain access to this section of the game, expect a fun experience, as it may only be a short segment, but it brings a slightly chaotic and fun element to the game that will surprise you.
Throughout this entire section, you will only need to use 3 different items in order to make it through alive; those items are the Grapple ability, the Stasis Transmutation, and the Pistol, as each of these items will be used quite often to push you through the mines.
Now that you have made your way to the beginning of this section, you will find yourself at the top of a small ledge looking down at a minecart; hop on in, as this will start the sequence.

Right away, you will be thrown headfirst into the chaos of this section, as you will be blocked by a gate that you will need to open using the Grapple ability before locking the gate open using the Stasis Transmutation at the top right of the gate. If you don’t do this, you will die.
After you pass through this checkpoint, you will have a few seconds of respite before approaching the next group of problems, with the first being a boil blocking your path that you need to shoot with your pistol and the second being a Grapple point that will turn the rails ahead of you so you go the right way.
Now that you have passed this section, you will have a moment of respite to reload your weapon, and as you do this, you will eventually run over an enemy with the mine cart, and this is to signify that you are coming up against enemies, with one of the grenadier enemies hiding on the left next to some exploding barrels and a rifleman on the right again next to some barrels.
We recommend you take down the grenadier first and then the riflemen, but do not reload just yet, as there are exploding barrels ahead of you on the track; you need to shoot before you ram straight into them. Once you pass this area, this is the time to reload, but do not worry, as you will not be using the pistol now; you will instead be using the Stasis Transmutation.
The reason behind this is that you will now approach another gate that you will need to open with the Grapple ability and hold in place with Stasis before nearing a rotating wheel that you need to freeze in place, with the gap being over the track so you can proceed.
Finally, this is where you might struggle the most, as a lot goes on in this section of the sequence. You will eventually reach the end of the track you are on and need to grapple off to the left, guiding you towards some poles that you need to swing between before doing a wall run and ending up back in a minecart.
There will be more after you land back in the minecart, as you will now have to shoot out some enemies on a bridge with your pistol by shooting the explosive barrel they are by before using the Grapple to lift some cargo that is blocking the track and once more grappling over a wall back into the minecart.
All in all, you have essentially finished the minecart section, with the final obstacle being one final Grapple point to land you at the safety of the final lantern rest spot of this location before you encounter one of the coolest bosses of recent years.
