The folks at One More Level, creators of the Ghostrunner franchise, are going in a completely different direction. They are moving to the Napoleonic Wars, but with a special Soulslike touch. Valor Mortis has guns, swords, zombies, grappling hooks, and more. This game will only have a story mode and will be an action-packed first-person shooter with other genres involved.
Release Date and Platforms

Valor Mortis will be released on October 13. It will also be available for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. It will have different editions, and both will include the base game.
Story Mode

You´ll play as William, a resurrected soldier who will discover in the worst way possible that everything has changed in Europe. A mysterious plague has killed or possessed both soldiers and civilians. There is also a giant but unknown power that you can control and use to destroy all your enemies and discover what is happening.
William will have a sword and guns as his basic weapons. You can perform stealth kills, throw fire, and use this power to open new paths throughout the territory. Parrying is also a possibility, just as it was in Ghostrunner. All of this has taken a heavy toll on the land, and the landscapes have changed.
There are strange veins all over the place that you can open using different methods. Valor Mortis offers some side quests and invites you to explore the entire map for secrets and discoveries about what is happening. Be quick and find out what this bizarre plague is and why you have been resurrected.
