One click and you're done. Thank you!
We are finally here, at the ultimate climax of Valor Mortis, where we can finally battle the final boss known as the Entity, Voice of the Void, and earn ourselves the ending to the game. In order to do this, if it isn’t clear, you need to be in Chapter 11 of the game and push through the final section of the game, which isn’t as hard as it might seem.
How to Find the Entity, Voice of the Void in Valor Mortis

As we have mentioned above, finding the final boss, the Entity, Voice of the Void, is actually quite simple, as the final section of the game is a simple linear path that you need to follow.
The only problem you might come across while fighting through this new area is that you will be essentially at one health and will only have use of your standard Sabre, meaning you will have to get up close to the enemies and defeat them through a single Sabre slash.
This can be quite easy to do until you come across the cannon enemy or the grenadier enemy, as these can be quite irritating to run past.
Along this path, you can also gain help from the Mice, as they can provide you with a key to open up a shortcut that makes avoiding the enemies a lot easier, but you can only earn this if you were nice to them throughout the game.
You will know when you arrive at your final location, as you will enter a copy of the University where you will see memories of James and Lious, as well as gain the final opportunity to level up, upgrade your weapons, and upgrade your transmutations before having to jump over to a fog door that begins the final boss through a cutscene.
How to Beat the Entity, Voice of the Void Phase One

Now that you have arrived at the final arena for Valor Mortis, it is time to fight none other than yourself. Yes, you heard me: the Entity, Voice of the Void, takes the form of William and will use powered-up versions of his attacks, weapons, and combos in order to defeat you, while also doing some other annoying tricks to take you down.
In terms of his attacks, they can be quite annoying to take on, with this being the final boss; it is fair, but once you get to grips with them, fighting this boss will be a piece of cake. To aid you in this endeavour, we have provided a list of attacks below to help you fight this enemy and take it down as quickly as you can.
Although we have added a list below, please understand that these attacks are quite unique, with the boss swapping between weapons, forms, abilities, and much more during these combos, so they can be quite complicated as a whole.
- One of the mechanics the boss can use is that he is able to dodge around the arena at a high pace, allowing him to move around the player
- A big attack the boss will use is a 5-attack combo where the boss will do 3 slash attacks with his sabre before changing to his claymore and doing two more slashes with a lot of spinning and chasing the player. There are two versions of this attack where the boss will spin and turn in different ways
- On occasion, the boss can teleport away and fire 4 volleys of his pistol
- A three-attack combo the boss can use is where he will do two slashes with his sabre before doing a fast jab towards the player using the rapier
- On rare occasions, the boss will sometimes equip the claymore and then throw it towards the player, which, if it hits them, he will appear at the hilt and do extra damage to the player
- Sometimes the boss will begin to float in the air and cause ripples in the water, pushing you back; this will allow him to spawn two clones, which can be defeated in one hit
- There is one combo the boss will use, which is where he uses two sabre slashes before doing a large unblockable attack where he leaps towards the player to slash down at them
- After you get the boss to around 50% health, he will again do the ability where he floats and causes ripples in the water before summoning large tendrils that will chase the player down
- As a rare twist, the boss does have a 6-attack combo, which he will do 5 slashes with his sabre before doing a final slash using the claymore
These are the attacks the boss will use during his first phase in this boss fight, and they can come at any time, so make sure you are prepared.
How to Beat the Entity, Voice of the Void Phase Two

Now you have managed to bring the boss’s health down once; you sadly need to do it again, and we only say so sadly because of the challenge, as the boss fight is quite interesting.
Once you manage to get the boss down to 0% health the first time, it will then regain its health and begin floating into the air, but higher than he has normally done, and he will begin to spawn more copies of William into the arena that you will need to fight.
This time when he does this, these copies won’t just come at you with swords, but they will instead begin to use Transmutations, various weapons, and much more as they attempt to fight you. After a short while, the boss will eventually come back to the floor and continue the fight like normal.
After you get the boss down onto the ground, he will continue the fight as normal, but the difference now is that he will combine his various combos, creating over 10 attack combos and expanding attacks like the tendrils from 2 tendrils to 4 tendrils, making him even more challenging and tiring to your endurance.
Another change the boss makes in its attacks is when it hovers above the floor in order to summon clones of William; instead of doing this, he will now summon previous bosses to aid him, such as The Orphan and the Sphinx, but just like the other clones, these enemies die after taking a single hit, so they aren’t overly dangerous.
Although these attacks are much longer and more challenging to deal with, the boss does allow for opportunities to avoid these attacks through dodging, as the gap between each attack is quite lengthy, meaning you have the chance to get away and prepare between each attack.
Once you get used to these attacks, you will now be able to take down the Entity, Voice of the Void, and complete Valor Mortis, allowing you to witness the end cutscene and see what is in store for the future of Valor Mortis and William. Along with beating the game, if you want to carry on afterwards, you will still earn around 115,000 Catalysts, allowing you to level up further after completing the game.
